A Film Critique on The Lost Secret (English 201)

The Lost Secret

Personally, the film was great and it was really entertaining, and at the same time, I was able to learn a lot of things. Well, I really liked the story about this man who lost his memory because some kind of drug was given to him by a man named Professor Sline. It’s quite interesting and amusing, the story is also unpredictable and the actors did a great job in portraying their roles in the film.
As I see it, the characters in the film depict their roles in the story very well. The starring characters are Dr. Ross Orwell, Inspector Marvin, Dr. Roberts, Professor Basil Sline, and Sabina. Margaret and Harry are also in the film. Their emotions, gestures, and actions are very well performed. There are just some occurrences that I can’t completely recognize the words they’re saying.
The storyline of the film is unique and it shows flashbacks which entirely makes the story splendid. At first, I hardly understand what the story is all about, questions just arise in my head which is slowly answered as the film continues. It’s really hard to predict the story. Generally, the story is great and I really liked the story.
In terms of cinematography and lighting for me, I will rate the movie at the average level because it’s a bit out of style though I know that it’s an old film so I must conclude that the technology used in this time is different. It’s really a great movie and I had so much fun in the DynEd program. Overall, I’ll give the film a big thumbs up.
